Terms and Conditions
Your use of this website and our studio is subject to the following terms and conditions. We reserve the right to vary or amend these terms and conditions from time to time. Any changes shall take effect upon posting to this website.
By using our website you are confirming that you accept these terms and that you agree to comply with them. If you do not agree to these terms and conditions of use, you must not use this website or Yoga Universe services.
Health Statement
You are responsible for correctly using our facilities and agree to observe the conditions in the Health Commitment Statement which you agreed to when registering with us.
Exercise carries its own risks. Your health is your responsibility and we ask that you do not exercise beyond your own abilities or carry out activities which you know or believe to be unsuitable for you. By attending a class at the studio:
- You accept that our staff are not medically trained.
- If you know or are concerned that you have a medical condition, injury, pregnancy or any other health problem (including without limitation cardiac irregularities; spinal, bone, joint, tendon or ligament injuries; spells of dizziness; asthma or other breathing difficulties; diabetes, epilepsy or any allergy) that may impact your ability to exercise or be contagious to other customers, you will seek relevant medical advice from a qualified practitioner and follow that advice before you use our equipment, facilities or attend classes.
- You will let us know immediately if you feel unwell during class or when using our equipment or facilities.
- If you have a disability, you will let us know and follow any reasonable instructions to allow you to exercise safely.
We reserve the right to ask you to leave a class or refuse access to a class if we reasonably consider that your conduct is damaging to our reputation, the experience of other customers, in breach of these Terms and Conditions, or if it would otherwise be in the interests of our other customers.
Cancellation Policy
We understand things happen and sometimes plans change. We aim to accommodate these changes as best we can by setting out fair and reasonable terms for booking and cancelling our classes, courses, events – allowing customers time to change their mind, while ensuring an event is still viable to go ahead.
We make our cancellation and refund policy transparent – ensuring it is available before booking, at the time of booking and also on your receipt confirmation – so you can make an informed decision. Please take time to read this carefully. All clients are asked to agree to the Yoga Universe terms and conditions upon booking a course or workshop.
In the event of Yoga Universe cancelling an event
You will receive a credit note for the price of your booking only, or the option of being transferred to another class or workshop. In the event a teacher is taken ill, every attempt will be made to find a replacement teacher.
In the event a customer cancels their place
Provided you have notified us within 24 hours, you will receive a credit note redeemable against any of our classes.
We regret no refund or transfer can be given outside of these terms, including if you are unable to attend due to illness, injury, work/family changes, pregnancy or other reasons. Before committing to a course or event, please ensure you can attend the scheduled number of sessions to get the most out of the programme. This cancellation policy is firm.
Transfer to Another Student/Waiting List
By You – If you cancel an event within 24 hours, no refund will be available. You may pass your booking on to a friend at no additional cost (please arrange payment between you). We must be notified via email if a friend will attend in your place.
By Us – If the event is full and we can find someone on the waitlist to take your place, we will offer you a credit note in full.
Cancellation of Memberships/Block Bookings
Studio Members have been given preferential rates in exchange for commitment to their practice and the studio. Therefore memberships can only be cancelled after the minimum period is completed. If a Member does not pay or cancels their Membership Package before this time, then the studio is entitled to charge the Member for any outstanding payments in respect of the agreement.
Once the minimum term is completed, cancellation notice must be a minimum of 30 days before your next monthly payment is due. Partial refunds cannot not be given and monthly payments once billed are not eligible for cancellation or refund. Cancellations cannot be backdated.
Please note, cancelling your membership means we would no longer be able to guarantee you the great discounted price you were offered at the time of sale.

Workshops, events and retreats are subject to individual terms and conditions including cancellation policy.
